DTL Recruitment 2026 – Notification Out for Assistant Manager Trainee Posts, Apply Online

Delhi Transco Limited (DTL), a Government of NCT of Delhi undertaking, has released a revised employment notice for recruitment to 65 Assistant Manager Trainee posts. The vacancies include Assistant Manager (Technical) Trainee – Electrical, Assistant Manager (Technical) Trainee – Non-Electrical, and Assistant Manager (Civil) Trainee posts. The recruitment will be conducted through the GATE 2026 score in the relevant engineering paper.
Eligible engineering graduates can apply for the relevant discipline subject to the prescribed qualification, age, GATE score and category requirements. The selected candidates will initially undergo one year of training and, after successful completion, will be absorbed as Assistant Manager in Pay Level-10. The notice specifically states that only the GATE 2026 normalized score out of 100 is valid for this recruitment; GATE 2025 or earlier scores will not be accepted.

Educational Qualification

DTL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The candidate’s maximum age should not exceed 28 years as on the cut-off date/last date of online application. Upper-age relaxation is available as per applicable government rules: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC (NCL) – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, with applicable cumulative relaxation. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates will be governed by GNCTD/GoI orders.

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply, and candidates must satisfy all prescribed eligibility conditions.

DTL Recruitment 2026 Salary

Candidates appointed as Assistant Manager Trainees will initially be placed in Pay Level-09 with Central DA pattern and applicable company allowances such as HRA/accommodation, conveyance, medical and LTC facilities.

After successfully completing the prescribed training, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Manager (T)/Assistant Manager (Civil) in Pay Level-10, along with applicable allowances according to DTL rules.

DTL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection will be based on the GATE 2026 normalized score in the relevant paper. Separate merit lists will be prepared for Electrical, Non-Electrical and Civil streams.

• Electrical: GATE Paper Code EE
• Non-Electrical: GATE Paper Code EC and/or CS, as applicable
• Civil: GATE Paper Code CE

The final selection will be made according to merit derived from the GATE 2026 score and the approved selection criteria.

There is no separate written examination mentioned in the notice for this recruitment.

DTL Recruitment 2026 Training

Selected candidates will undergo one year of training. The training consists of:

• 03 months academic training through NPTI or another training institute as per DTL policy.
• 09 months field/on-job training in DTL substations/offices.
• Quarterly reviews during training.
• Training examination requiring 65% marks.
• Final assessment for absorption after completion of one year.
• Minimum 65% marks required in the final assessment for absorption.

Candidates who do not meet the qualifying marks for absorption will not be absorbed and their services may be terminated according to the notice provisions.

DTL Recruitment 2026 Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond covering successful completion of training and subsequent service with DTL for at least three years.

2. 10th and 12th/Intermediate certificates and mark sheets.
