Delhi University TGT & Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026: The University of Delhi has released an official notification for the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Assistant Teachers (Primary) in the CIE Experimental Basic School. A total of 08 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. R&P/324/2026.

Eligible candidates can submit their online applications for the Delhi University TGT and Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026. Delhi University Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

1. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university, with the concerned subject studied for a minimum of two years. Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject must have at least 50% marks in either their Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Applicants must also possess a B.Ed. or a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. qualification.

Alternatively, candidates having a four-year integrated B.El.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed., B.A.B.Ed. or B.Com.B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution are eligible, provided they have studied the concerned subject for at least two years. Passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE is mandatory.

For TGT Sports, candidates must have a B.P.Ed. or M.P.Ed. degree along with evidence of having played or coached a sport.

2. Assistant Teacher (Primary)

Candidates must have Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks along with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, a four-year B.El.Ed., or a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized institution. Alternatively, candidates with Graduation and B.Ed. from a recognized university can also apply.

Applicants must have passed CTET conducted by CBSE and must have studied Hindi or English as a subject at the Secondary level.

Delhi University Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other eligible categories will receive age relaxation as per Government of India and University rules.
• Government employees with at least three years of regular service in the same or allied field may receive relaxation up to five years, subject to conditions.
• Departmental candidates and eligible existing University contract/ad-hoc employees may receive relaxation as specified in the notification.

Delhi University Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Test (MCQ-based) for shortlisting.
2. Main Examination (Descriptive).
3. Skill Test (Qualifying Nature).
4. Document Verification.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the Main Examination. Candidates must also qualify for the Skill Test by obtaining at least 50 marks out of 100.

The recruitment examination will be conducted in two stages.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
