Haryana Clerical Recruitment Rules 2026: The Haryana Government has officially notified the Haryana Clerical (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2026, which regulates the recruitment, promotion, service conditions, pay scale, eligibility criteria, and career progression of Clerks in various Haryana Government departments. The Act came into force after its publication in the Haryana Government Gazette on 03 June 2026.
Under the new provisions, recruitment to Clerk posts will be conducted through direct recruitment, promotion from Group-D employees, compassionate appointments, and transfer/deputation. The Act also introduces the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Applications (SETC) as an important requirement for clerical employees.

Haryana Clerical Recruitment Rules 2026 Age Limit
Candidates applying for Clerk posts through direct recruitment must be at least 18 years and not more than 42 years of age on the last date of application. Upper age relaxation will be provided according to Haryana Government rules.

Recruitment to the Clerk cadre shall be made through:

For promotion from Group-D to Clerk, an employee must:
- Pass 10+2 or equivalent.
