The recruitment covers Supervisor-I and Junior Maintainer posts in Operations, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Fitter, RAC and related disciplines.

The prescribed qualifications must generally be through full-time regular courses. For D02–D05, relevant full-time B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) qualifications are also permitted. For D06–D09, the required ITI qualification is mandatory; higher qualifications alone will not substitute for the prescribed ITI qualification.

NCRTC Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The maximum age is 28 years for all nine advertised posts, calculated as on 10 September 2026. Age relaxation is available to eligible reserved categories as per the notification. SC/ST candidates receive 5 years, OBC (NCL) candidates 3 years, while PwBD candidates receive 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for SC/ST. Ex-servicemen are eligible for relaxation according to Government of India instructions. The maximum upper age after all applicable relaxations cannot exceed 50 years.

The selection process consists of:

NCRTC Recruitment 2026 Medical Examination
Candidates shortlisted through the CBT must meet the prescribed medical standards.
- D01 to D05: A-3 medical standard
- D06 to D09: B-1 medical standard
The notification specifies visual and other medical requirements for both standards. LASIK surgery is not permitted for the prescribed vision requirements.

Selected candidates will have to execute a surety bond and serve NCRTC for a minimum period of three years.

A one-month prior notice is required on either side before resignation/termination as specified in the notification.

First, visit the NCRTC website and open the Career section, then select “Click here for Vacancy Notice No. 32/2026.” Candidates should register themselves and use the generated application number/login credentials to complete the online form.
